THE ZIMENT GROUP ACQUIRES
CONSUMER HEALTH SCIENCES - Part of WPP's Purchase of Grey
Global Group
NEW YORK,
April 18, 2005 - The Ziment Group, a leading
healthcare and pharmaceutical market research consultancy
headquartered in New York, announced today that Consumer
Health Sciences, a health information and market research
company that provides disease-specific, self-reported
consumer data to pharmaceutical and life science companies,
has become a separate operating division of the group as
part of Grey Global Group’s recent purchase by WPP,Plc. (‘WPP’).
Formerly part
of Grey Healthcare, CHS, will form a new division within The
Ziment Group. The company’s flagship offering is its
National Health and Wellness
Survey (NHWS), conducted annually from a population of
45,000 adult consumers in the
U.S. and 20,000 Europeans in the
UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
The survey
covers a broad range of health related topics, including
opinions and attitudes toward healthcare, sources of
healthcare information, the respondents' current state of
health, personal health history, and the severity and
treatment of illnesses. The
company will continue to operate from its home in Princeton,
New Jersey.
