2003 RR Fordyce Award, Pharmaceutical
Marketing Research Industry’s Top Accolade, Presented
To Howard Ziment, CEO of The Ziment Group.
New York, October 02, 2003: The Pharmaceutical Marketing
Research Group (PMRG), presented Howard Ziment, Chief Executive
Officer of The Ziment Group, with the industry’s
highest accolade in the RR Fordyce Award. This prestigious
honor was given to Ziment at a recent ceremony during the
PMRG’s annual fall meeting in San Diego, CA, by PMRG
President Andrew George.
The PMRG created The RR Fordyce Award to honor the memory
of Richard "Dick" Fordyce, an industry leader,
who throughout his career promoted the principles of excellence,
innovation, and integrity in the pharmaceutical marketing
research industry.
Nominations for the award are invited annually for an
individual who embodies these principals, and for an individual
who has had a major impact in the industry. Nominees are
further required to have demonstrated an exemplary level
of character, business ethics, and leadership including
professional/personal behavior, ethical decision-making
abilities, and mentoring/training of others.
The award recognized Ziment for his superior knowledge
of the pharmaceutical industry and his use of innovative
research techniques and methodologies to create new research
paradigms. He is viewed as a leader in e-healthcare, and,
as the founder of WebSurveyResearch, the owner of the “gold
standard” in physician Internet panels in WebSurveyMD.
The award also paid tribute to Ziment’s service and
dedication to The Ziment Group and to his continued service
and dedication to the PMRG over the past 15 years.
“I am deeply honored to receive this award,” said
Ziment. “It is testimony to the continued hard work
and dedication of each and every member of The Ziment Group.
I am pleased to know what an impact our work has had on
the industry. We strive to be a leader in what we do and
it is gratifying to be recognized as such.”
