WebSurveyResearch REPORTS MOST EUROPEAN
PHYSICIANS NOW HAVE INTERNET ACCESS
New York, October 26, 2004: Unlike the United States where
virtually all physicians have Internet access and e-mail,
the European medical community is catching up to its U.S.
counterpart, according to a recent survey by WebSurveyResearch,
a New York-based healthcare research company that interviewed
more than 3,000 physicians in Spain, Italy, France, Germany
and Great Britain this summer.
The survey revealed that 85 percent of European physicians
on average have Internet access. In Italy, 81 percent of
physicians have Internet access. In France, the percentage
is 84 percent. In Spain, it is 83 percent. In Germany,
it is 89 percent, and in Great Britain, the number is 90
percent.
“This survey was conducted randomly as part of larger
market research activities in these countries, and the
results are much higher than we anticipated,” said
Jerry Arbittier, WebSurveyResearch’s Managing Director.
